Description

Warm, freshly baked cookies straight out of the oven, with gooey pockets of melted chocolate just waiting to be devoured. Is your mouth watering yet? Ours sure is! There's something truly magical about the humble chocolate chip cookie – it's the epitome of comfort food, a sweet treat that never fails to put a smile on your face.

Ingredients
  • 40 gr white sugar
  • 40 gr brown sugar
  • 100 gr butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 gr salt
  • 160 gr all purpose flour
  • 2 gr baking powder
  • 2 gr baking soda
  • 150 gr dark chocolate
  • 50 gr choco chip
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Begin by chopping the dark chocolate into small chunks. You can adjust the size of the chunks to your preference, but aim for bite-sized pieces that will melt deliciously into the cookie dough.

  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. Sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough cookies rather than tender ones.

  6. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate and chocolate chips until they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. Cover the cookie dough and refrigerate it for at least an hour. Chilling the dough helps solidify the fats, resulting in thicker, chewier cookies. Plus, it allows the flavors to meld together for a more complex taste.

  8. Once chilled, use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave some space between each cookie to allow for spreading during baking.

  9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they're golden brown around the edges.
