Description

Opor Ayam is a harmonious symphony of creamy coconut milk, fragrant spices, and tender chicken, creating a blissful blend of savory, subtly sweet, and aromatic flavors that dance on the palate.

Ingredients
  • 500gr chicken
  • 5 shallot
  • 3 garlic
  • 3 candlenut
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp galangal
  • 2 bayleaf
  • 1 pcs lemongrass
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 200 ml coocnut milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp mushroom bouillon
  • a pinch of sugar
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Then finely blend shallots, garlic, candlenuts, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and galangal.

  3. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the blended mixture until it releases its enticing aromas. Add bay leaves, lemongrass, and chicken.

  4. Add water let it boil for sometime then pour the coconut milk. Add salt, a pinch of sugar, and the umami depth of mushroom bouillon. Let it simmer until the curry reduce.
